I graduated from Ross Medical Education Center with a degree in dental assisting.
As a child I always enjoyed going to the dentist. I enjoyed building new relationships with people and, most of all, making them smile. I believe everyone deserves the perfect smile, and I love being able to assist them in accomplished that goal. The best and most rewarding part of being in the dental field is that you never stop learning! I am excited to begin continuing my education to become a Registered Dental Assistant.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and my son. I enjoy taking him for walks and teaching him how to swim.
As a little girl, I chipped both my front teeth. I hated my smile from then on. Around the age 13, I decided on veneers. Watching that process step by step and seeing the amazing end result got me interested in dentistry. I live with my mom, stepdad, and 2 1/2 year old sister. My hobbies are soccer, volleyball, boating/ tubing, going to the beach, and annual mud runs. I spend most of my free time with my best friend Alexis.
I graduated from Northridge High School, in Middlebury Indiana. I didn't even spark an interest in the dental field until the end of my junior year in high school. My senior year I went to the career center in Elkhart for dental assisting and absolutely loved it.
I have an older brother who is in the Navy and three younger sisters. My favorite thing to do is being out on the lake going tubing and wake boarding. An interesting thing about me is that I was born in Tennessee. My whole family is from there, it's my favorite place to ever be but I've lived in four other states.
I have an Associate Degree of Applied Science: Dental Hygiene, and also an Associate Degree of Liberal Arts. I chose to become a RDH because it offers me the ability to help other people. I love the independence it offers and the chance to work one on one with the patients is very rewarding. Also, ever since I was a young girl, I've loved going to the dentist and having a hygiene appointment so it only made sense to pursue a career in dental hygiene.
My husband, Ryan, and I recently welcomed our first child, a daughter named Hazel. We also have an 11-year-old Yorkie. I am a proud mother, and would love to show you photos when you are the office! I enjoy spending my free time with my family, watching movies, dining out, reading, and being active outdoors.
I graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. I also am local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certified. I have always been interested in the health field and working with people. I enjoy experiencing the difference one can make on a patient's oral healthcare as well as their overall health, every day.
My husband Brian and I reside in Sturgis with our children. My son is a freshman and is involved in basketball and baseball. My daughter is in seventh grade and plays tennis. When she is not doing that, she is rocking our house with her guitar. Our new addition to our family is a spaniel/lab dog named Bojangle.
When we are not at sporting events we enjoy swimming, kayaking, and biking, I am very involved in the community where I am a business partner on the Health Advisory Board for Sturgis Public Schools. I also volunteer for education for Dental Health Mouth and the Annual Juvenile Diabetes Rock Star Party at Headlines.
As well as a licensed holder in Michigan for Dental Hygiene, I am also licensed in Michigan and Indiana as an Aesthetician.
